Introduction of electronic medical records into the healthcare system: barriers, prospects

Abstract
The article discusses the features of the introduction of information and communication technologies into healthcare systems using the example of electronic medical records (EMR). A review of foreign literature reflecting the barriers to the introduction of EMR according to research data is conducted, statistics on the use of electronic documentation by medical professionals in different countries are presented, and prospects for digitalization of electronic document management are reflected.
