Abstract
The article substantiates the need for a systematic approach to organizing nutritional support for cardiac surgery patients. The high prevalence of protein—energy deficiency among this patient population is noted, as well as its impact on treatment outcomes and postoperative rehabilitation. The reasons for the underestimation of nutritional therapy in clinical practice are analyzed, and organizational measures aimed at standardizing the processes of assessment, prescription, and monitoring of nutrition are described. The development of such a project is considered an important step toward optimizing the quality of medical care and ensuring the rational use of hospital resources.
