Abstract
The article presents a review of the literature reflecting the historical aspects of the development of issues of nutrition and nutritional support for patients during the period of medical care. The main historical stages and achievements in the field of maintenance and organization of nutritive nutrition, contributing to the recovery of patients, are highlighted.
