Analysis of the influence of the level of education and work experience of pharmaceutical workers on interaction with teenage buyers

Abstract

The study examined the attitude of pharmaceutical workers towards the purchase of medicines by adolescents. 185 people took part in the survey; 34.6% of respondents have never encountered difficulties in pharmaceutical counseling of adolescents. 58.4% of respondents rarely had difficulties in counseling, 7% of survey participants often had difficulties. Regardless of the level of education, only 7.1% of specialists (both pharmacists and pharmacists) noted that they face difficulties in pharmaceutical counseling. Experience also does not have any significant impact on the decision-making by a specialist. At the same time, respondents with the longest experience — more than 10 years — most often experienced difficulties (about 9% of cases) in counseling adolescents. The main difficulty faced by pharmaceutical workers in counseling adolescents is difficulties in formulating a request by a teenager (48.1%) and indecision of adolescents in making a decision (28.7%).
