Abstract

The saturation of the Russian market with modern domestic products, not inferior to imported analogues, is becoming especially topical upon the complex international relationships throughout the world. This task is successfully solved in Pharmasyntez, which consistently develops new nosological directions, fixing the most "sensitive issues" of the Russian pharmaceutical industry. We asked Vikram PUNIA, President of Pharmasyntez JSC, to share his vision of the company's strategy and talk about the results achieved.

226 ИТОГИ 2017 ДОСЬЕ Викрам ПУНИЯ: «НАША КЛЮЧЕВАЯ ЗАДАЧА – СНИЗИТЬ ЗАВИСИМОСТЬ СТРАНЫ ОТ ИМПОРТНЫХ ЛЕКАРСТВ» В условиях непростой международной обстановки особую актуальность приобретает насыщение российского рынка современными препаратами отечественного производства, не уступающими по качеству импортным аналогам. Эту задачу успешно решают в компании «Фармасинтез», которая последовательно осваивает новые нозологические направления, в том числе закрывая наиболее «болевые точки» российской фарминдустрии. Мы попросили поделиться своим видением стратегии компании и рассказать о достигнутых результатах Викрама ПУНИЯ, президента АО «Фармасинтез». Уважаемый господин Пуния, как известно, деятельность компании «Фармасинтез» изначально была связана с созданием противотуберкулезных препаратов. А каков сегодняшний стратегический курс компании? – Я считаю, что компания выполнила на «отлично» все задачи, связанные с разработкой и созданием противотуберкулезных ЛС. Мы выпускаем продукты высокого качества, которые доступны по цене и присутствуют в необходимом количестве на российском рынке. Кроме того, экспортируем эти препараты в большинство стран СНГ и планируем выйти на рынки дальнего зарубежья. При этом туберкулез постепенно сдает свои позиции в России, а значит, меняются и наши приоритеты. Сегодня мы нацелены, прежде всего, на разработку и выпуск препаратов для лечения ВИЧ / СПИДа, сахарного диабета (СД), онкологических заболеваний, а также орфанных ЛС. Стремительно распространяющийся ВИЧ / СПИД – одна из основных проблем российского здравоохранения. Насколько интен- сивно компания «Фармасинтез» работает над ее решением? – Мы постоянно выводим на рынок новые препараты для лечения ВИЧ / СПИДа: только за последние 2–3 года были зарегистрированы такие ЛС, как Доквир, Алагет, Калидавир, Симанод, а также новинки 2018 г. – Ретвисет и Акимасол. Для нас важно, чтобы все они стали доступны для пациентов. Следует отметить, что Ретвисет – это единственный на сегодняшний день зарегистрированный отечественный дженерик ритонавира. Ранее данный препарат поставлялся преимущественно из-за рубежа. Мы стремимся изменить эту ситуацию и снизить зависимость страны от импортных антиретровирусных ЛС. Борьба с СД – еще одна актуальная медико-социальная задача. Какие шаги предпринимает компания «Фармасинтез» в этом направлении? – СД – новая для нас область, которую мы только недавно начали осваивать. Между тем уже сегодня наша компания располагает одним из самых больших в стране портфелей сахаро- Викрам ПУНИЯ, президент АО «Фармасинтез» снижающих препаратов для лечения СД II типа (8 зарегистрированных торговых наименований). Особенно отрадно то, что «Фармасинтез» активно работает над созданием инновационных ЛС для лечения СД. Так, например, мы зарегистрировали наш оригинальный препарат Сатерекс (гозоглиптин), относящийся к классу ингибиторов дипептидилпептидазы-4 (ДПП-4), который обладает большим рыночным потенциалом. Базовая разработка этого препарата осуществлялась нашим партнером – компанией «Химрар» совместно с компанией «Пфайзер». Производиться Сатерекс будет по полному циклу на заводе компании «Фармасинтез» в Тюмени. В IV квартале этого года планируем вывести препарат на рынок. Я уверен, что у «Фармасинтеза» есть все основания занять ведущее место на рынке препаратов для лечения СД II типа уже в 2019 г. В каких еще областях «Фармасинтез» инициирует и проводит научные разработки? – Прежде всего, это онкологические и орфанные заболевания, терапия которых является весьма серьезной проблемой для наше- ИТОГИ 2017 ДОСЬЕ го здравоохранения, в том числе из-за высокой стоимости представленных на рынке ЛС зарубежного производства. Так, например, присутствующие на российском рынке орфанные препараты практически на 90 % импортные, тогда как у нас есть все возможности выпускать более доступные отечественные аналоги. В компании представлен полный производственный цикл: практически все активные фармсубстанции мы производим самостоятельно, становясь все более независимыми от ввоза импортного сырья. Участвует ли АО «Фармасинтез» в конкурсах на получение госфинансирования научных исследований и разработок? – «Фармасинтез» – одна из передовых компаний, реализующая значительное количество научно-исследовательских проектов, многие из которых находят поддержку Минпромторга, Минэкономразвития, областных администраций, а также Фонда развития промышленности. Мы постоянно участвуем в проводимых этими ведомствами конкурсах и, как правило, побеждаем, благодаря инновационности и актуальности наших проектов. «Фармасинтез» сотрудничает со многими ведущими НИИ и вузами. С кем осуществляется наиболее плотное взаимодействие в последнее время? – Со многими ведущими институтами страны, в этом списке их свыше 10. Например, с НПО «Вектор», Новосибирским НИИ туберкулеза, МГУ имени М. В. Ломоносова. Совместными усилиями с МГУ мы уже получили антиретровирусную молекулу-кандидат, демонстрирующую очень высокую терапевтическую активность. При успешном завершении КИ на рынок выйдет ЛС значительно более эффективное, чем применяющиеся сегодня базовые препараты для лечения ВИЧ-инфекции. У нас налажены прочные партнерские отношения с рядом иркутских институтов: Иркутским институтом химии имени А. Е. Фаворского СО РАН, Иркутским научным центром хирургии и травматологии. Насколько успешно развиваются связи с зарубежными партнерами? – Мы заинтересованы в сотрудничестве с компаниями – разработчиками инновационных препаратов, которые готовы переносить технологии в Россию и выпускать продукцию на наших мощностях. Некоторые такие проекты уже реализуем, заключив договоры с компаниями из США, Японии, Южной Кореи. Думаю, что в будущем все больше западных партнеров будут локализовывать производство инновационных ЛС на наших заводах и передавать нам право на продвижение выпускаемых продуктов. Мы же со своей стороны готовы обеспечить для них эффективный market access любых препаратов нашего направления – онкологических, для лечения СД и т. д. Успех любой компании невозможен без высокопрофессиональных кадров. Где вы их находите? Как этот вопрос решается в компании? – По большому счету мы растим их сами, готовим себе кадры со школьной скамьи. Со школьниками проводится активная профориентационная работа: наши сотрудники рассказывают ребятам о будущей профессии, а также о компании «Фармасинтез» и ее преимуществах. Три года назад мы запустили проект по целевому обучению перспективных ребят в СанктПетербургском химико-фармацевтическом университете по специальностям «химическая технология» и «биотехнология». Студентам не только оплачивают обучение, перелеты и поощрительные стипендии, но и предоставляют возможность пройти стажировку за рубежом, производственную практику на предприятиях АО «Фармасинтез».Аналогичный проект по подготовке специалистов по специальности «фармация» сегодня реализуется в Иркутском государственном медицинском университете. Всем студентам целевого обучения гарантировано трудоустройство на предприятиях нашей компании. Кстати, по итогам исследования, проведенного порталом Superjob.ru, компания «Фармасинтез» получила статус «Привлекательный работодатель – 2017». Тем самым мы не только готовим из вчерашних школьников профессиональные кадры, но и прививаем им интерес к естественным наукам, помогаем им построить свое будущее. Не могли бы Вы, помимо уже сказанного, перечислить наиболее знаковые события 2017 г. в жизни компании «Фармасинтез»? – Во-первых, в прошлом году наша компания отметила свое 20-летие. Во-вторых, в рейтинге лидеров роста, опубликованном в 2017 г. в журнале «РБК», «Фармасинтез» занял 8-е место среди топ-50 самых быстроразвивающихся компаний России, что нас очень радует. Кроме того, в конце мая на территории особой экономической зоны «Новоорловская» в СанктПетербурге состоялось торжественное открытие первой из запланированных четырех очередей завода АО «Фармасинтез-Норд». На сегодняшний день это единственное в своем роде предприятие в России, ориентированное на разработку и производство современных цитостатических препаратов в твердых лекарственных формах, лиофильных порошках и в растворах-концентратах. Данный проект отличает высокая социальная значимость, поскольку его реализация позволит значительно снизить зависимость нашего здравоохранения от импортных химиотерапевтических препаратов. Таковы наши сегодняшние результаты, на которых мы не собираемся останавливаться. В планах компании – взятие новых высот, направленных на дальнейшее улучшение жизни российских пациентов. We asked Vikram PUNIA, President of Pharmasyntez JSC, to share his vision of the company’s strategy and talk about the results achieved. Dear Mr. Poonia, it is commonly known that Pharmasyntez activity was originally associated with the creation of anti-tuberculosis drugs. And what is the current strategic course of the company? – I believe that the company performed «perfectly» all tasks related to the development and creation of anti-tuberculosis drugs. We produce high quality products that are affordable and are present in the required quantity in the Russian market. In addition, we export these drugs to most of the CIS countries and plan to enter the foreign markets. At the same time, tuberculosis is gradually losing its position in Russia, and so, our priorities also change. Today, we are focused, first of all, on the development and production of drugs for the treatment of HIV / AIDS, diabetes mellitus (diabetes), oncological diseases, as well as orphan drugs. Rapidly spreading HIV / AIDS is one of the main problems of Russian healthcare. How intensively does Pharmasynthez work on its solution? – We are constantly introducing new drugs for the treatment of HIV / AIDS to the market: such drugs as Dokvir, Alaget, Kalidavir, Simanod have been authorized over the last 2–3 years, and also the 2018 novelties – Retviset and Akimasol. It is important for us that all of them become accessible to patients. It should be noted that Retviset is the only authorized domestic generic ritonavir. Previously, this drug was delivered mainly from abroad. We seek to change this situation and reduce the country’s dependence on antiretroviral drug imports. The fight against diabetes mellitus (DM) is another important medical and social task. What steps does Pharmasintez take in this direction? – DM is a new area for us, which we only recently started to master. Meanwhile, today our company has one of the largest portfolios of sugarreducing drugs to treat type 2 diabetes (8 authorized trade names). It is gratifying to emphasize that Pharmasyntez is actively working on the creation of innovative drugs to treat diabetes. For example, we Vikram PUNIA, President of Pharmasyntez JSC authorized our original drug Saterex (gosogliptin), which belongs to the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors class and has a great market potential. Our partner, Chemrar, together with Pfizer, carried out the basic development of this drug. The full cycle production of Saterex will be carried out at the Pharmasintez plant in Tyumen. We plan to bring the drug to the market in the fourth quarter of this year. I am sure that Pharmasyntez has every reason to take a leading place in the type 2 diabetes drug market in 2019. In what other areas does Pharmasyntez initiate and conduct researches? – First of all, the therapy of oncological and orphan diseases, which is a very serious problem for our healthcare, due to high cost of foreign drugs on the market among other reasons. So, for example, orphan drugs that are present on the Russian market are almost 90 % imported, whereas we have all the opportunities to produce more affordable domestic analogues. The company has a full production cycle: we produce independently RESULTS 2017 DOSSIER practically all active pharmaceutical substances, becoming increasingly independent on imported raw materials. Does Pharmasintez JSC participate in the contests to receive state funding for research and development? – Pharmasyntez is one of the leading companies that implements a significant number of scientific and research projects, many of which are supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Development, regional administrations, and the Industrial Development Fund. We constantly participate in the contests held by these departments and, as a rule, win, thanks to the innovativeness and relevance of our projects. Pharmasyntez cooperates with many leading research institutes and universities. With whom is the most meaning ful interaction in the last time? – We interact with many leading institutes of the country; there are more than 10 of them in this list. For example, with the NGO Vector, the Novosibirsk Research Institute of Tuberculosis, the Lomonosov Moscow State University. MSU and we have already obtained an antiretroviral candidate molecule that demonstrates very high therapeutic activity. If the CT is successfully completed, the drug will be significantly more effective than the basic drugs currently used to treat HIV infection. We have established strong partner relations with a number of Irkutsk Institutes: Favorsky Irkutsk Institute of Chemistry of R AS, Irkutsk Scientific Center for Surgery and Traumatology. How successful are the relations with foreign partners? – We are interested in cooperating with companies that develop innovative products that are ready to transfer technology to Russia and produce products at our facilities. Some of these projects have already been implemented, signing contracts with the companies from the USA, Japan, and South Korea. I think that in the future, more and more Western partners will localize the production of innovative medicines in our plants and transfer to us the right to promote the products produced. We, on our part, are ready to provide for them effective market access to any drugs of our line – oncological, diabetes, etc. The success of any company is impossible without highly professional staff. Where do you find them? How is this issue solved in the company? – By and large, we grow them ourselves, we prepare our staff from the school bench. Active guidance work is carried out with schoolchildren: our employees tell the children about the future profession, as well as Pharmasyntez and its advantages. Three years ago, we launched a project on targeted education of promising children at the St. Petersburg Chemical and Pharmaceutical University in the specialties of chemical technology and biotechnology. Students not only pay for tuition, flights and incentive scholarships, but also provide an opportunity to undergo internships abroad, production practices at the Pharmasintez enterprises. An analogous project on training specialists in the pharmacy specialty today is being implemented at the Irkutsk State Medical University. All students of targeted education are guaranteed employment in our company’s facilities. By the way, the research conducted by the portal Superjob.ru showed that Pharmasintez received the status «Attractive employer – 2017». Thus, we not only train professionals from yesterday’s schoolchildren, but also foster interest in the natural sciences, and help them build their future. Could you list the most significant events of 2017 in the life of the company besides those that you have already told about? – Firstly, our company celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. Second, Pharmasintez was ranked 8th among the top 50 fastest growing companies in Russia in the growth leaders’ rating published in 2017 in the journal RBC, which is very encouraging for us. In addition, at the end of May, a solemn opening of the first of the planned four stages of the plant of Pharmasintez-Nord JSC took place in the territory of the special economic zone Novoorlovskaya in St. Petersburg. To date, it is the only enterprise of its kind in Russia that focuses on the development and production of modern cytotoxic drugs in solid dosage forms, lyophilic powders and in solution concentrates. This project is highly socially significant, since its implementation will significantly reduce the dependence of our health care on imported chemotherapeutic drugs. These are our today’s results, on which we are not going to stop. The company plans to take new heights aimed at further improving the lives of Russian patients.
