После достижения возраста 40—50 лет наблюдается постепенное снижение скорости клубочковой фильтрации — показателя, отражающего эффективность работы почек. К социальным детерминантам хронической болезни почек относят образ и условия жизни, включая состояние жилищных условий, продовольственную безопасность, психологические факторы, социально-экономический уровень, уровень образования, доступность медицинской помощи.
