In the 1950s, Safar convinced everyone of the necessity of tilting the patients head to eliminate tongue root retraction during mouth-to-mouth ventilations. Another significant but little-studied page of Peter Safires biography is the development and implementation of the worlds first ambulance service with a physician and volunteers trained in CPR. As a sign of respect for the merits of this talented man, the author has systematized analytical material about him and his activities and presented in a concise form, taking into account the assessments of leading domestic and foreign experts in the field of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, anesthesiology, disaster medicine and emergency conditions.
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Peter Safar</kwd><kwd>anesthesiology</kwd><kwd>artificial respiration</kwd><kwd>cardiopulmonary and cerebral resuscitation</kwd><kwd>disaster and emergency medicine</kwd><kwd>“Resusci Anne” (“Resurrect Anne”)</kwd><kwd>Asmund Laerdahl</kwd><kwd>Vladimir Negovsky</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Питер Сафар</kwd><kwd>анестезиология</kwd><kwd>искусственное дыхание</kwd><kwd>сердечно-лёгочная и церебральная реанимация</kwd><kwd>медицина катастроф и неотложных состояний</kwd><kwd>«Resusci Anne» («Воскреси Энн»)</kwd><kwd>Асмунд Лаэрдал</kwd><kwd>Владимир Неговский</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Safar P.
