Крестьянская культура XIX в. — начала XX в. воспроизводила средневековые модели, что обусловило обращение к опубликованным историко-этнографическим и фольклорным источникам этого времени. Анализировались также отдельные лечебники, имеющие разделы, посвящённые детям.
