Voyno-Yasenetsky, Krasnoyarsk, Russia15122023321422014102025Copyright © 2023,2023In the context of decreasing competences of municipal authorities and limited funding allocated to the regional health sector, municipal public health promotion programs remain one of the priority measures for the implementation of population prevention. A literature review was conducted on the electronic databases PubMed and eLibrary. Search depth — 15 years. Publications describing the policies, programs and projects implemented in the municipalities of the Russian Federation and foreign countries were selected and analyzed. In general, the positions of researchers can be divided into two conditional groups: the first includes programs that exclude decentralization. In the second group — typologized for a particular municipality, taking into account medical and demographic characteristics. Structurally, municipal programs can be classified into four areas.
