It provides the basic methods for defining the product categories, a product category processing technique using the category management tools and describes the methods for determining priority goods in a category. The author highlights the advantages of increasing the share of priorities in the category, and identifies the leaders among venotonics in different price segments, which should be taken into account when building an effective assortment matrix in a pharmacy.
