According to the foreign studies, about 35-40% of the adult population suffer from arterial hypertension, and the prevalence of it increases with ageing, accounting for 50-65% in people over 65 years old [2]. In Russia, at least 40% of the population are diagnosed hypertensive [2, 3]. At the same time, hypertension may also be diagnosed in childhood, accounting for about 3.5% of children and adolescents in Russia [3]. Continuous blood pressure monitoring using home-use blood pressure monitors, which are presented in this review by key market trends, is one of the most important measures for the prevention of complications of hypertension.
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>hypertension</kwd><kwd>blood pressure</kwd><kwd>tonometer</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>гипертоническая болезнь</kwd><kwd>артериальное давление</kwd><kwd>тонометр</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Ионов М.В., Звартау Н.Э., Конради А.О.
