The article presents a qualitative research results on the opinions of pharmaceutical organizations leaders. We studied the opinion of employers on professional adaptation and integration of young pharmaceutical specialists in the regional labor market. The leaders of organizations represented in the pharmaceutical labor market (PLM) of Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region were interviewed. Employers highlight the basic difficulties of the initial stage of young professionals' work, such as low pay, poor career prospects, low job positions and uncomfortable working hours. Managers themselves also experience some difficulties interacting with young staff, mainly due to their lack of discipline, responsibility and competence. At the same time, employers are willing to participate in a social dialogue aimed at improving the process efficiency of integrating university graduates into the PLM. Managers also understand the importance of organizing the process of adaptation of young employees in the workplace, but the system of adaptation in medium and small-staff enterprises is not sufficiently developed, there is no mentoring institution. In addition, the heads of organizations in the pharmaceutical industry often have a lack of knowledge in psychology and pedagogy, do not understand adaptation differences between men and women. Which collectively requires the development of science-based recommendations for heads of organizations to PLM on the professional adaptation of young employees.
